Well to be honest, most people wouldn’t have heard about it until 2 weeks back when the cogs started turning and word started to spread through the net. I’ve been following their progress ever since their Twitter account was created and I was automatically added due to the fact that I was following @YugSTAR.

Anyhow since they are from Brisbane, and well most of the main group of AP is from Brisbane, it only seems logical that we support them by going there for drinks some time, and hopefully a few games of something not lame.

Here’s what they have on their front page.

Australia’s first dedicated next gen console gaming bar

Opening in February 2010 in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane – Australia, the Mana Bar is the first venue of it’s type.

The Commonwealth Government has released a discussion paper which briefly summarises the key arguments for and against an R 18+ classification for computer games.  Censorship Ministers have considered the issue of an adult classification for computer games on several occasions.  However, they have not undertaken public consultation on this issue.

If you’ve been holding out for Rival Schools on PlayStation Network or, indeed, any digital distribution platform, then we have some rather dire news for you. Capcom has confirmed that Rival Schools will not be coming to PSN now or ever.

“To put at least one question to rest, unfortunately Rival Schools will not be making an appearance,” says Capcom’s Chris Svensson. “There are IP clearances and rights we no longer have (particularly pertaining to voicework/soundtrack I believe) so our IP management group has told us it can’t be re-released. I’m sorry as it’s one of the ones I really wanted to see be put back up.
